Literature Out Loud

Aspen's storytime for grown-ups!

Local actors read short stories, excerpts, or poems, and bring to life the words of renowned authors. We hope you love listening to our favorite stories as much as we love sharing them with you!

Charlotte Perkins Gilman

Tuesday, June 18 | 5:30pm-7:00pm

On Tuesday, June 18th at 5:30 in the Pitkin County Library meeting room, Literature Out Loud will be presenting two stories by the utopian feminist writer, Charlotte Perkins Gilman (1860-1935). Gilman was amazingly ahead of her time, writing stories which paint men in a less than acceptable way!  Come hear her words read by Missy Moore, artistic director of Thunder River Theatre, and Janice Estey. A bit of creepiness, a bit of triumph--something for everyone!

Literature Out Loud is sponsored by Friends of the Library.
